Eric Rosen worked on Wall Street for over 20 years. Most of his career was spent at JPM running the Credit Trading business. Eric also ran Fixed Income in North America at UBS and worked at Bank of America/Continental Bank. In addition, Mr. Rosen founded the hedge fund, Reef Road Capital, with a longtime colleague and ran it for 7 years. Although Reef Road was a long/short credit fund, assets included public and private equities, loans, bonds, CDS, trade claims, seller notes and other assets. Reef Road peaked at approximately $1bn of AUM. He left NYC in 2017 and lives in South Florida.
Today, Eric takes on select clients where his network and management experience can help impact the business. Mr. Rosen will consider board seats if the company wants independent thinkers who will work hard to add value feel and his experience, network or expertise will improve the business. In addition, he manages his family office making investments in real estate, venture capital, private equity and liquid markets. Eric is doing more public speaking engagements at conferences across the country as well. Additionally, Eric spends a fair amount of time mentoring and teaching students as well as young professionals.
Eric recently received his sales associate license for Real Estate and works for Douglas Elliman in South Florida. He focuses on luxury product from Miami to Jupiter.
Eric was previously Vice Chairman of the Board of the Children's Health Institute at Weill Cornell, Co-Chairman of the Apollo Family Circle for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was mentoring NBA players for a number of years.
Eric started writing a blog in February of 2020 and sent it to 20 friends. Since then, it has grown exponentially. The blog begins with a personal story and then goes into markets, economics, politics, current affairs, COVID-19 and real estate. It is meant to educate and share content Eric finds interesting with some fun and sarcasm as well.
